여의도 문화밴드 조성 사업은 국제 금융 중심지인 여의도에 위치하여 한강공원 수변공간과 연결고리의 역할을 하면서 다양한 시민의 활동 영역으로 활용할 수 있다. 단순한 휴식공간 이 아니라 상업, 문화, 예술, 휴식 거점으로 활용할수 있고, 동/서간 통행 문제를 지상, 지하 도로망을 통하여 여의도 전체를 하나의 공간으로 구성하여 해결하고자 한다.
The urban landscape planning project ‘Yeouido Cultural Band’ is situated in Yeouido, the city which remains as an International Financial Centre in South Korea. The project aims to advance the Han River waterfront area while providing space for a range of resident activities. The idea was to add cultural and artistic vitality and excitement in the area around Han River as well as to solve the traffic jam problem from East to West by proposing underground road network.
