서부권 소포우편센터는 소중한 고객의 마음을 신속, 정확하게 배달하기 위한 마인드 브리지로써의 역할을 하고자 하였다. 서부권 소포우편센터는 물류차량동선 확립을 위한 Broad, 일방향 동선체계구축을 위한 Rapid, 지역주민과 함께하는 Interactive, 소음 및 매연과 빛공해에 대한 주거지역 보호개념의 건물배치의 Defence, 근무자를 위한 친환경적 휴게공간계획 Green, 자연채광 및 환기를 통한 쾌적한 근무환경 조성을 위한 Environment을 실현하고자 노력하였다.
The role of the Western District Parcel Post Center was that of a mind bridge to deliver the needs of the clients quick and efficiently. The project can be summerized into following keywords : “Broad” for the establishing efficient logistic vehicle traffic circulation. “Rapid” for the one direction circulation system. “Interactive” for the community participation and use. “Defense” for protecting the neighboring sites from sound and light pollution caused by the post center. “Green” for the outdoor spaces for the postal workers. “Environment” for a healthy environment of using natural sunlight and ventilation.
