행복도시 인공호수 중앙에 자리 잡고 있는 수변무대는 어릴적 물수제비 뜨던 추억들을 다시 살려 햇살을 머금고 있는 조약돌을 형상화 하였다. 수변무대의 컨셉을 자연과 하이테크의 하이브리드이다. 유기적인 형태는 주변자연과의 조화를 이루었고 유리 외장재를 사용하여 하이테크한 이미지를 표현하였다. 스탠드의 하부는 화장실과 공연준비시설로 계획하여 공간 활용도를 높였다. 여름에 수변무대는 각종 문화행사의 중심지가 되고 또한 공연 외의 시간들은 카페를 운영하여 지역주민들의 교류의장으로 활용될 것이다.
The waterfront stage located in the center of the artificial lake of the Multifunctional Administrative city, has a pebble like mass reminding one of the childhood memories of skipping stones bye the waterside. The stage is hybrid of natural and high tech, the organic shape harmonizes with the surround nature and the glass skin give the stage a very high tech image. The space beneath the bleachers is used for restrooms and performance preparation areas. In the summer time the stage is used for various cultural performances, during the nonpreformance periods the Cafe is opened to the community as a place for interaction.
