법원은 어느덧 현대사욓에서 가장 긴밀한 공공기관 중 하나가 되어있다. 특히 시민과의 소통과 신뢰가 그만큼 중요한 곳이며, 이는 이 시대의 공공건축의 나아갈 방향을 제시하는 것이다.
COURT in COURT에는 시민들을 향하여 권위를 낮추고 법행정의 신뢰를 세우겠다는 굳건함이 표현되고, 그와 동시에 내면으로는 부드러운 포용력을 가진 공간이 존재한다. COURT in COURT는 우리의 제안을 함축하는 컨셉이다. 춘천지방법원 원주지원청사는 무실2지구의 도시맥락을 토대로 내외부공간의 얼개를 구축하는 방식을 기본으로 한 다음 법원만의 상징성, 기능성, 특화성을 수용하는 디테일을 중심으로 위와 같은 계획적 전략에 해법을 제시하였다.
The court has become a very everyday facility in the modern society. It is a place that must maintain integrity and at the same time be a place that can effectively communicate with citizens, the courthouse can give direction to how modern public facilities should be built.
“Court in Court” expresses a court that shows gentle authority to the citizens and builds integrity in the court administration. The Chuncheon District Court extends the urban axis and creates a inner frame to which the details of the facade express the symbolism, function-ality, and individuality of the building.
